23 weeks

This week the baby has decided it wants to use my bladder as a punching bag which has caused me to pee every hour. This of course does not feel good so i have been walking around hunched over like an old lady. Going to start not liking this kid if it keeps this up.

I really need to start picking a side and stick with it. I think this defeats the purpose if I keep switching sides. On the photography page i will put them all in order and flip the images so they are all facing the same side.

21 Weeks

This me at 21 weeks. I don't know what is going on here but i am looking really tired. I probably should have waited another day to to do this.

20 Weeks

I have been a bit behind. Here is me at 20 weeks. Starting to get bigger.

The Inside Scoop

We had our 20 week visit on Friday, and thought I would go ahead and post some pictures of Baby Boo, our little Halloween baby.

We finished putting the crib together today, and it looks perfect in the room.

Week 19/ Day 3

I skipped 17 and 18 weeks. I will do better from now on. This picture is in the nursery. Our color theme is sage green. We have our 20 week appointment on Friday which is when we have the option to find out the sex of the baby. I am determined not to find out but I do have weaknesses so we will see.

The crib also arrived today and I have been giddy all day. Marcus says Saturday we will wake up slowly, have a some coffee and put together a crib. Sounds exciting doesn't it. I will upload pictures as soon as it is up. The mattress should also arrive this week.

16 weeks/ Day 3

Well here it is. I am 16 weeks and out in the garden posing. It was a beautiful day and of course I wanted to be right next to my roses. I don't know if I will do all my photos outside, but this is a start.

I'm feeling pretty good and waiting until I get out of the "Wow she needs to lose weight" to "Oh she pregnant". I wonder what people think when I go to the gym..."This chick is here three days a week, yet she keeps getting bigger. She's obviously doing something wrong".

I'm sporting the belly band and still wearing my normal jeans. We will see how long this lasts. More to come.

Pregnancy: Week14/Day4

Wow I skip an entire week. So let's catch up. I have been getting a lot of great advice from everyone. I might even create a page of top tips for baby brands and products and top tips after the baby is born.

Marcus and I went to Babies R Us to look around and price products. We met a sales representative who has two children. She explained to us that the first few months the baby would be living in a bassinet next to your bed. That makes it easier so you don't have to get out of bed all the time when it wakes up. She mentioned the bumpers that come with most bedding kits are not safe and to use a mesh bumper instead, so if the baby rolls over to the side of the crib it can still breath. Baby mats are also a good idea in case there is an accident in the bed, all you do is change the mat and not the sheets. If you live in a two story house, she suggested having a Pack n Play on the main floor for convenience.

I have had other people tell me to use and a recliner instead of buying a rocker, it's cheaper. Go to a consignment stores for items that you can buy used. You never want to buy a crib or a car seat used. Some have suggested to buy just a changing pad instead of buying a changing table. We have dresser that Marcus barely uses, so that makes it easy. If anyone has any more suggestions or tips, let me know. Another tip I was told was to get two car seats for each car so any parent can pick up the child and not have to switch out seats. I love tips that I don't think about, so if anyone a has any suggestions or tips, let us know.

Pregnancy: Week 12 /Day1

Today was the SweatWater 420 5K. I didn't do very well I came in at 43:64. It was rough with high heat and steep hills, but I made it. I think that will be the last run I do until after the baby is born. The day was good. I ran while Marcus drank. We took a nap under a tree while listening to the various bands play and Guinness had a blast from all the attention he was getting from strangers. We even have a picture of a little girl kissing him on the nose. It was really sweet. I was enjoying people watching and I wish I brought the camera. I could have gotten some really amazing shots. It got crowded quick and we finally left about 4 pm. By the time we got home Marcus and I were wiped.

Pregnancy: Week 11 /Day6

So a friend of Marcus and mine sent us a gift for the baby. She said it was a gift that has been past down in her family for years and thought it would be something I would enjoy. Most of you have heard of it "Love you forever". I love this book. I remember seeing it at Barnes ad Noble all the time but I never actually read it. Marcus asked me to read it aloud. I read through it and made it until I got to the part where the son holds his mother and sings "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my Mommy you'll be." I lost it at that point. I think that is the hardest part for me. I will be going through one of the most important times in my life and I will not have my mother there to share it with. It was hard enough to accept that she was gone before she met Marcus and she was not there to see me on my wedding day, but this feel even harder. I don't know if it is the whacked out hormones I'm going through but I have been thinking about her a lot lately. I know she is with me in spirit and I know she is watching over me, but i still wish she was here with me. I miss you mummy and I'll love you forever.

Pregnancy: Week 11/Day 4

So I am constantly craving chocolate, I am breaking out all over my face like a high school girl, I pee every hour, and my workouts are slowing down. Oh and did I mention? I can't drink red wine for the next 10 months and a few months after since I will be breast feeding. Where's the fun part in all this again? I have to keep remembering this is all worth it in the end. It's all for the little squirt:)

I have to be honest though Marcus, my husband, has been a saint and it's just the beginning. I wonder how long he is going to be able to keep it up. He constantly brings me what I want when I yell down to him from the bedroom. He makes me dinner every night.(He cooked all the time anyway but I still appreciate it) He pours cranberry juice in a wine glass, and he runs out to the store to get chocolate when ever I am craving some. I love sharing everything him and seeing how excited he gets. Really, I'm not complaining. Things are great even with all the crazy, hormonal irregularities.

Pregnancy: Week 10/Day 5

In the short amount of time that Marcus and I announced it to our friends family and coworkers. I have had a number of suggestions, links to articles and videos to watch. One coworkers sent me an article on breast feeding

And another coworker has warned me that when I get to the point where my belly is visible for all to see and the baby is moving and kicking, strangers are going to start touching my belly. Ok now I must ask were in peoples minds do they think it is OK to touch other peoples body parts. You get sued if you touch their butt, their chest and any other part of the body. So where is it OK to start touching woman's bellies. Touch your own belly.

Pregnancy: Week 10/Day 4

I have decided I am going to start a blog following my pregnancy. If no one reads it, it's OK. It's really it's for me but if any of the information is helpful to others then I have accomplished more then I expected.
